| I know it's been a loooooong time. We obviously have been really busy. but there is this site www.jcwarrior.net that one of my friend's friend has started that you should join and take a look at. It's for Christians to share their testimonies, or anything that God is telling them to share. yep, so take a look at it. :) God bless. | | |
| well...i'm back...or getting around to updating...i don't think i will be updating that much anymore...but i still will at times and come back. i now have a bf...haha...don't worry i am still VERY MUCH into God. i also have to have my gall bladder removed...so that's not that great...and my calve muscle has been hurting... so yeah but as i was reading "Brio and Beyond" (Christian magazine),yesterday. there was this article about Ephesians 6. http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Ephesians%206:10-18;&version=31; and i've never thought of this...haha what's missing... - belt of truth
- breastplate of righteousness
- gospel shoes
- shield of faith
- sword of the spirit
- helmet of salvation
- pray
So what's missing?? well some of you already know...but i just discovered this yesterday haha... there isn't any protection for the back! God intended for you to NEVER TURN YOUR BACK against your foe...you should always be ready to "fight" and i thought that was just amazing...haha...yeah even if you already knew that...and to think i have read this part of Ephesians a lot of times...and at the Christian camp i went to and worked at...there is even a song about this...haha... ok until next time. pray for my surgery. peace. God bless you.

hey! So this will be my last update until after aug. 22nd. B/c again this sat. i leave for vacation. Going to Ohio and Michigan!!
So this post isn't much...but last night with my "youthgroup" i saw this movie..."The Second Chance"...and it was really good! and i think you all should see it...its not a comedy its kind of deep...b/c of the churches is in the inner city and yeah there are gangs and stuff...but yeah...um i really liked it...and below the sign for the church it said "All God's children need a second chance" and i really liked that too :)
and um at the camp i work at in the main church it says "Jesus is for all" and i think that was cool b/c Jesus is for all.
oh its also kind of hard to tell a 5 yr. old about Jesus...i was like talking about birthdays and i was like "Right after Jesus was born" and she said "who's Jesus? the bus driver?..." i just kind of laughed at that...
ok until after aug. 22nd! hope everyones last summer days are enjoyable!!
| Hello! I'm back! though it was Amazing! I cried the last day b/c i had become so close to the girls. :(
Part of this is from "Our Daily Bread". It was actually the one for the day i got back so it actually fit really well with what i was thinking about so here it goes.
First read Genesis 12:1-9. http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Genesis%2012:1-9&version=31
One of life's most distressing experiences is being separated from the things and the people we love. It is often difficult to leave a house that holds many pleasant memories, and it is always hard to say goodbye to loved ones when we must leave them.
then it talked about how Abraham had to leave his country. but then he was blessed.
and as i read this i thought of 3 things, my Kentucky Trip, Camp, and this coming school year. and i was thinking how i have been "separated" from all of those... or i will be... and yeah then i thought how there is a time for everything, and God's great plan...and i'm def. seeing that and yeah...so that's all if have to say...haha.
Attachment to Christ is the secret of detachment from the world.
| Ok this is going to be the last entry for awhile...until after the 27th. Marie is going to Delaware, and I'm going to Kentucky.
I'm traveling alone, and i have never been away from home for more then a week. It will be an experience. So i'm excited and nervous... worried...ha...but what does the Bible say...
http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew%206:25-34;&version=31;
"Therefore i tell you do not worry about your life..."
"So do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring worries of its own.Today's trouble is enough for today."
If its that easy...what Jesus says...then how come it is hard to follow? at least for me it is... its usually before that gets me really worked up...(anxious) and then when it actually happens its ok...and then after its like i worried about that...I think this is what i need to work on with my faith...Yes i trust in Jesus...have faith...walk by that and not sight...but i still worry and i don't want...i guess i need to live in the "now" Instead of the "tomorrow" b/c with that comes worry...
yeah. I hope you got something out of that...ha. Pray for my trip. leave comments. God bless. and i will post again in 2 weeks!
"Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done."~Phillipians 4:6.
